Harris Regional Hospital to provide Open Enrollment Event for Health Insurance Marketplace, December 17th 5 – 7 p.m. Harris Regional Hospital Lobby

Harris Regional Hospital will again this year provide resources for patients enrolling in the health insurance marketplaces by holding an Open Enrollment Event available to all members of the community looking to enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace as mandated by the Affordable Care Act.

Participants are encouraged to stop by the Open Enrollment event if they are interested in signing up for affordable health insurance,  prepared to enroll or make changes to current coverage or have questions about services available. Different organizations from around the community including the Good Samaritan Clinic, Advanced Patient Advocate and Mountain Projects will be available to help answer questions and educate the community on what resources are available to the members of this community. Along with extra resources, Harris Regional Hospital will have Certified Application Counselors (CAC) available to enroll participants in their selected plan. All Harris Regional Hospital CAC’s have received an additional level of training and certification to provide assistance with the health insurance marketplaces.

Open enrollment for the health insurance marketplaces began on November 1, 2015 and ends January 31, 2016. Individuals and families will have an opportunity to gain access to affordable, comprehensive healthcare coverage during the open enrollment period.
