Harris Regional Hospital Hosts Lunch and Learn on Advance Directives in Partnership with Four Seasons, The Care You Trust
April 1, 2025

Harris Regional Hospital, in partnership with Four Seasons, The Care You Trust invites community members to a free Lunch and Learn on Advance Directives on Thursday, April 17th from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. The event will be held in the Easton Board Room at Harris Regional Hospital, and lunch will be provided at no cost to attendees.
This informative session is designed to help individuals and families better understand advance directives—legal documents that allow people to outline their preferences for medical care if they are ever unable to speak for themselves. Representative Maureen Williams, MEd, BSN, RN, CCM, CDCP from Four Seasons will be available to answer questions and provide guidance on how to complete and file these important forms.
“Talking about end-of-life care can be difficult, but making your wishes known is one of the most important gifts you can give your loved ones,” said Ashley Hindman, CEO of Harris Regional and Swain Community Hospitals. “This event is about empowerment—helping people take control of their future medical decisions.”
Advance directives give individuals peace of mind that their healthcare preferences will be honored, and they ease the emotional burden on family members during times of crisis. Whether you're facing a serious illness or just planning ahead, it’s never too early to start the conversation.
