Harris Regional Hospital to host annual Tree of Hope event on Thursday, October 3
September 19, 2024
Harris Regional Hospital is proud to announce its annual Tree of Hope celebration, a special event dedicated to honoring breast cancer survivors and remembering those who have lost their battle with the disease. This heartfelt gathering will take place on Thursday, October 3, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the main lobby of Harris Medical Park, located at 98 Doctors Drive, Sylva, NC 28779.
The Tree of Hope event is open to the entire community and is especially meaningful for anyone who has been touched by breast cancer—whether as a survivor, a current patient, or a loved one of those affected. Attendees will have the opportunity to share inspiring stories of resilience, hope, and courage in a supportive environment.
Throughout the month of October, a beautifully adorned Tree of Hope will stand in the main lobby, serving as a symbol of strength and remembrance. Community members are encouraged to visit the tree at any time to place the name of a loved one on its branches, honoring those who have fought bravely against breast cancer or remembering those who are no longer with us.
“We invite everyone to join us for this uplifting event,” said Ashley Hindman, CEO of Harris Regional and Swain Community Hospitals. “The Tree of Hope serves as a powerful reminder of the strength found within our community and the journeys we share. It’s a time for connection, support, and inspiration.”
Everyone is encouraged to participate in this meaningful celebration of life and perseverance.
