Harris Regional Hospital to Host Free Lunch & Learn on Nutrition and Colorectal Health on Wednesday, March 26th
March 4, 2025

Harris Regional Hospital invites the community to a free Lunch & Learn seminar on the vital connection between nutrition and colorectal health, including strategies for colorectal cancer prevention. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 26, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at Harris Regional Hospital in the Easton Board Room, located on the first floor of the hospital.
Dietitian Sydney Fischer, MS, RN, LDN will lead the discussion, providing insights on how nutrition impacts gut health, digestion, and the prevention of colorectal cancer. Attendees will learn about fiber-rich foods, essential nutrients, and lifestyle choices that support a healthy colon and reduce cancer risk.
March is National Colorectal Health Awareness Month, a month dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of receiving regular screenings for colorectal cancer and other conditions. Conditions such as colorectal cancer, polyps, and inflammatory bowel disease can develop over time, often without early symptoms. Regular screenings, a high-fiber diet, adequate hydration, and an active lifestyle can significantly lower the risk of colorectal diseases.
A complimentary meal will be provided for all participants. Space is limited, so registration is required.
