Harris Regional Hospital is pleased to welcome Bryant Reinking, PA-C to its medical staff with the reopening of Harris Cardiology, located at 80 Healthcare Drive, Suite 101 in Sylva, on April 1.
Reinking brings extensive experience in vascular and general surgery, as well as a deep passion for patient education and preventive care. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to helping patients understand their conditions and empowering them to take an active role in their heart health.
Reinking earned his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University and has over seven years of experience as a physician assistant in surgical and clinical settings. His expertise includes managing complex cardiovascular conditions, performing in-clinic procedures, and providing both inpatient and outpatient care.
“I have always been fascinated by the human body and how we can optimize its function,” said Reinking. “The heart is at the core of everything we do, and I love working in a specialty that is both integral to overall health and allows me to make a real difference in people’s lives.”
Originally from Colorado, Reinking and his family relocated to western North Carolina early this year to be closer to family and enjoy the mountain lifestyle. Having grown up in a small mountain town, he values the region’s ideal combination of natural beauty, outdoor recreation, and a welcoming environment where he can make a meaningful impact as a healthcare provider.
For the past two months, Reinking has worked closely with providers at Western Carolina Cardiology at Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, gaining additional experience with the clinic’s providers and becoming familiar with the region’s cardiac care landscape. Reinking will continue a collaborative relationship with the esteemed practice, which includes providers Steven Gore, MD, Michael Miller, MD, David Peterson, MD, Paul Albert, NP, and Kathy Hefner, NP. This connection will support continuity of care for patients in both hospital and outpatient settings across the region.
The reopening of Harris Cardiology provides access to outpatient cardiology services, including preventive care, diagnostics, and treatment for heart disease and vascular conditions, for residents of Jackson and surrounding counties.
“We are thrilled to welcome Bryant Reinking, PA-C, to our medical team with the reopening of Harris Cardiology,” said Ashley Hindman, CEO of Harris Regional and Swain Community Hospitals. “Bryant’s expertise, passion for cardiology, and patient-first approach will enhance the care we provide and improve heart health in our community.”
Harris Regional Hospital is a Chest Pain Center accredited by the American College of Cardiology, ensuring the highest standards of emergency heart care. In addition to the reopening of Harris Cardiology and outpatient cardiac services, the hospital provides inpatient cardiology services, ensuring that patients requiring cardiac care receive thorough evaluation and treatment during their hospital stay.
