“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Riccio and Dr. Hutson to Harris Family Care – Franklin,” said Steve Heatherly, CEO of Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital. “It is our privilege to serve Macon County and the surrounding region with primary care that is comprehensive, compassionate, and connected to a breadth of specialty services that continues to expand at Harris Regional Hospital.”
When asked why primary care, Dr. Riccio and Dr. Hutson both share about the importance of relationships as a determinant to health.
“When you get to know someone when they are feeling good and in a healthy state, it makes it that much easier to help them when they’re not feeling well”, said Dr. Hutson. Dr. Riccio added, “to be able to help people in every stage of their life and hopefully even the opportunity to care for the members of their family, it makes healthcare more of a relationship. It’s unfortunate to see folks that have waited too long to seek the help they need”. Prevention is key when it comes to taking care of your health including yearly well visits, flu shots and lab work.
